Grace Finds a Home

This is our story of traveling to China to bring home our daughter Grace.

We're leaving for China on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 to bring home our daughter, Grace. Here's the story so far: In July of 2006 we began the process of adopting from China. We met with adoption agencies, social workers, and immigration specialists. We were background checked, fingerprinted, and thoroughly reference checked. We did mountains of paperwork and forms. Then, we waited....and waited. Finally, on July 10, 2008, we received our referral of Grace. Her Chinese name is Zhong Min Jun. We will call her Grace Min Jun Russell. We chose the name Grace because she is a gift of grace...and it is only by grace that a 51 year old man like me gets a 4 year-old daughter!

We are creating this blog for you...so that you can follow the progress of our journey. We hope to publish new posts and pictures each day while we are on our trip. So follow the blog, and send up prayers for a safe and successful trip.....because Grace needs a home.

Hi Rick, Kathy, & Bradley!
I'll put this into the Triadelphia bulletin this week so the church family can watch and pray with you as you make this long trip to bring Grace HOME!
Congratulations, Michael & Joanne Stango
PS Michael has a grand niece-Lila from Guangxi Province adopted 2004 through LaVida. It's so exciting!

Can't wait to see pictures and hear more of the story about Grace. And I'll look forward to meeting her sometime! I do, by the way, LOVE that name you've chosen for her!

Rush, the boyz and I wish you an outstanding adventure, the greatest part of which will be when you come home with Gracie! We'll be praying for you all the way...
